Creator Backchannel is designed so members interact through anonymous community identities. Real identities, email addresses, verification information, and social handles are not intended to be displayed to other members.

Creator Backchannel LLC cannot guarantee absolute anonymity. We may access or disclose account information when reasonably necessary to operate or secure the Service, investigate fraud or Terms violations, respond to valid legal process, comply with applicable law, or protect the rights or safety of Creator Backchannel LLC, our members, or others.

We use information to:

• Create and operate accounts and verify creator eligibility
• Authenticate users and provide anonymous community identities
• Display, organize, and personalize community Contributions and feeds
• Maintain Brand, Agency, and Person profiles and connect related professional data
• Award and administer Cred or other community features
• Detect fraud, spam, abuse, or multiple-account manipulation
• Moderate Contributions and investigate reported content
• Maintain security, communicate with members, provide support, and fulfill legal obligations

4. Organizing Community Intelligence

Creator Backchannel LLC may organize user-submitted information into structured professional entries (for example, associating a Contribution with a Brand or Agency profile). Automated processing may be utilized to categorize or summarize information, but Creator Backchannel LLC does not guarantee that resulting profiles are accurate or complete.

5. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers that support our operations (hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, and payment processing). These providers process information on our behalf subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or lease members' private verification identities or personal information to third parties, including brands, agencies, or advertisers.

We may also disclose information:

• when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or valid legal process (for example, a subpoena);
• to investigate fraud, security incidents, platform abuse, or Terms violations;
• to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Creator Backchannel LLC, our members, or the public; or
• in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

6. Public and Member-Visible Information

While Creator Backchannel is a private community, information you submit (anonymous username, avatar, Contributions, Cred/status) may be visible to other authorized members. Do not submit information that you do not want shared within the community.

7. Professional Profile Corrections

If you are a professional whose information appears on Creator Backchannel and you believe information about you is inaccurate, outdated, unlawfully published, or inappropriate, you may contact admin@creatorbackchannel.com. We will review legitimate privacy, accuracy, and legal concerns.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy.

• Verification & Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account to maintain verified status and platform security.
• Technical Logs: Server and security logs are retained on a rolling 30- to 90-day cycle, unless required for active security investigations.
• Contributions: Community posts and brand reports remain on the platform indefinitely to preserve historical discussion context, subject to de-identification upon account deletion.

9. Account Deletion and Privacy Requests

Members may request account deletion or submit privacy inquiries via Settings or by emailing admin@creatorbackchannel.com.

Upon completing an account deletion request:

• Deleted Immediately: Authentication credentials, private verification records, email addresses, linked handles, account preferences, and Cred records are permanently removed from our active databases.
• De-Identified Retention: Public Contributions remain visible to preserve discussion continuity but will be permanently disassociated from your identity, displaying under a generic anonymous identity (for example, “Former Member”).
• Legal Retention: Limited records (such as legal terms acceptance) may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance or dispute resolution.

10. Regional Privacy Rights (Including California CCPA/CPRA)

Residents of certain jurisdictions (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, and the EU) hold specific rights regarding their personal data, including the Right to Access, Right to Delete, Right to Correct, and the Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email admin@creatorbackchannel.com.

11. Cookies and Technical Infrastructure

Creator Backchannel uses essential cookies solely to authenticate members, maintain secure sessions, and preserve authentication state. The application does not use behavioral advertising trackers or third-party ad pixels. Standard technical logs (IP addresses and user agents) are processed by infrastructure providers as necessary to deliver and secure the Service.

12. Children

Creator Backchannel is strictly intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we identify an account belonging to an ineligible minor, it will be deleted promptly.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When material changes occur, we will notify members through the Service, via email, or by updating the Effective Date above.
